I had reservations for 2 adults on 8/9-8/11 with late arrival on 8/9. We arrived around 12am on 8/10. We checked in and was told that the hotel did not have luggage racks available for use by the guests (they did offer to help) and the cable was not working. The room was not what I had expected for what we paid but we decided to make the best of it, especially after finally finding a parking space and driving for 3 1/2 hrs. That quickly changed when we decided to go to bed and pulled back the covers to discover that the sheets, on both beds, had not been changed and were disgusting! After notifying management, we decided to leave. Things really went down hill from there. We were unable to find a vacancy at the beach and we had to make that 3 1/2 hour drive back home at 4am in the morning. I will not stay at Island Vista Resort again and will not recommend it to anyone. (I have photos but do not consider them family-friendly)

Great hotel the only complaint is no late checkout

We stayed in island vista for one day on our way to Florida. Front staff were rude. Our room's door had been recently painted and it was still wet when we arrived. We could smell the wet paint in our room. Shower was too short. if You are taller than 6' 1", you cannot fit in the shower. Be careful to put the right zip code when using GPS. there is exactly he same address in that area which is half an hour away from the actual place. do not recommend at all. don't waste your money here. to be fair, the only good thing about our room was the view.
