Meh, You can do better…

Meh. To be fair, on one level this mediocre review is a bit of a reflection of what has happened to Moab over the decades, in terms of popularity and price gauging. There is nothing overtly wrong with this motel, other than a clear ambivalence of the staff and real lack of attention to details. Let’s be clear this is a 2 star motel, with a face lift. The face lift is nice but there is nothing that pulls all the details together. The sink is in the middle of the room, not in the bathroom. Tried the breakfast one of the three days we were here. It was anemic and the room was devoid of energy, closed in with no pictures on the walls. I couldn’t find just some plain oatmeal, no sugar. I guess my underlying irritation was paying 803. for a three night stay after all the taxes and fees. I have stayed at 4 star hotels for that kind of money. Of course I didn’t come back to Moab to lounge in a motel, I just expect more value for the money. The pictures are nicer than reality. Stayed at a really delightful place an hour South for half the price and three times the service. Flowers outside the room, homemade breakfast, cheerful, helpful staff. However, not here…

Very Comfortable and Convenient

Hotels.com puts my wife’s name on our stays when we use her debit card to pay for a booking. It’s lame, but what are we going to do? This was a very comfortable place to stay. We were lucky to be close to the breakfast area. It looked like some rooms would require quite a hike to get to breakfast. I don’t like the current trend of raised sink counters and the sink area having no privacy when we’re traveling with our 16-year-old daughter, but it’s cheaper for hotels when they don’t have to add a wall for semi-privacy, so I get it. It just makes it difficult to manage my disability, plus we’re just very modest people. The one inconvenience was that the “Guide” button on the TV remote control didn’t work. The room was clean and had all of the amenities. Even the hair dryer had an acceptable amount of power. Not as good as Home 2 Suites, but not bad. There was always a good variety of breakfast fare and the staff kept it stocked. The dining room was a bit small on a couple of mornings, but it was easy enough to take food back to our room to eat. We were happy that we stayed here for three nights of our six-night family road trip.

Not the Best at all.

The room faced the street. It was noisy outside due to traffic. The windows did not open, and they were old and would not keep sound out. The hair dryer was dusty and didn't work. We were given a handicap room, and the shower was not able person friendly. The hot tub could have used clarifier.

Nice stay with a few inconveniences

We stayed 4 nights while visiting our daughter and taking in all the back roads and trails. The bed was comfortable and the water pressure in the shower was awesome. The sink was slow draining so would back up rather fast. There were not any plugs or USB ports near the bed to charge our phones. There was no guide on the TV so not easy to scroll through programming and find a good show. Not many choices for breakfast so that was disappointing. Also the air conditioning didn’t stay on through the night so it got a little hot. But having said all that, we enjoyed our stay. We were gone all day playing and were so exhausted by the time we got back late at night that we just fell in bed. For not being a chain hotel, it was a nice motel.

Right on point

Went to Moab for a weekend getaway. The hotel was way better than I expected! The price location and amenities were spot on. Highly recommend high point hummer for any tours, especially the ATV tour.

Very clean, friendly staff, right off the Main Street in Moab so close to stores and restaurants. The bed was very comfortable. We stayed for 3 nights and will definitely come back next time we visit.

Great Time in Moab!

Fabulous hotel on the south end of Moab. This was our 2nd stay here. Check in was fantastic. Very nice lady checked us in. I asked if they had a recyclable bin. She said no, but to give her what we had and she would take it home to recycle. Love it! She also gave us a coupon for 10% off at The Blu Pig. Room was fantastic. Service was above and beyond. Location is perfect with restaurants all around. Short walk to downtown shops as well. Indoor/outdoor pool is so awesome. Hot tub was great. Breakfast was so good! Lots of options, along with heat and eat breakfast sandwiches and burritos. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Moab for a few days.
