Just one night and a quiet Thursday night for the hosts. We were arriving later than expected and we were phoned to see if the chef should stay on for us which she did. Thank goodness she did, fantastic food and a warm welcome. Even Crumble the gorgeous GSD welcomes us! Comfy stay in a lovely room. Would definitely return if up their way again

The Red Lion is a real home from home, the owner is extremely friendly, we were shown to our room and everything in there was explained how it worked, what time the restaurant opened and closed, what time breakfast was in the morning. We had a great meal in the evening at a very competitive prices, the food was excellent, all the produce was sourced locally and was fresh and very tasty. Breakfast this morning was superb, as much cereal, tea, coffee, toast with home made jams and marmalade, then there was choice of many cooked breakfasts of which we had a full English which was lovely. I would highly recommend this Hotel/Restaurant, we will be coming back as soon as possible. Peter Copleston Petts Wood Kent

We were visiting friends who live nearby and my wife found this Gem on the internet. We booked it based on very good reviews. We were not disappointed at all, in fact the facilities are excellent and very clean. The breakfast is second to none. They use locally supplied products. The food served in the restaurant is of equal quality and the service is excellent.

Only a one night stay but we found the Inn excellent in every way. Clean room, impeccably furnished, delightful landlady with a friendly welcome - cannot fault it. Food was first class; my wife said the surf and turf was the best she'd ever had...and we fell in love with Crumble the German Shepherd.

I had an amazing stay at the lovely red lion..beautifully furnished and decorated everywhere was spotless. The rooms were lovely with everything provided, lovely shower and great toiletries provided. Christine was welcoming and friendly and the breakfasts cooked to order were delicious. A lovely quiet village but easy to find and well placed for many tourist attractions..just a short drive to most things. I travel alot and this place ranks very highly..i hope to return one day soon.

Wonderful place. Chris and the staff were fantastic. The rooms, beds and ensuite were perfect. Food fantastic. If I am ever down again I certainly will stay again. 2 happy scotsmen which is a rarity

An exceptional pub with rooms. The rooms and service was excellent, Christine is a very friendly and attentive owner. Both the evening meal and breakfast was superb, could not be faulted.

Very happy with our stay. Friendly and welcoming staff. Great breakfast menu which had a good number of choices including kippers. Would definitely visit again.

This hotel is beautiful! Only small with just 5 rooms but the room we stayed in was immaculate and beautifully decorated! We had a fantastic evening meal and enjoyed a lovely breakfast all fresh homemade food and absolutely delicious! Staff were very friendly and will definitely return to stay again! All in all superb!
