Loved the amout of space for 4 people in the same room, very clean, close to resturants and shops. Great customer service. Everyone was so nice. Depending on what you plan to do on crete. You will probaly need a rental car if leaving the area of the hotel. Also, about 1 hour dive to next major city in crete. If you want to stay away from crowds this is the place to stay.

A good stay for a couple

Huge hotel but friendly and helpful. Bar and restaurant quite expensive and our room was a long way through the hotel but all in all very good.

Good value resort for under €50/night

Grand Leoniki is a legitimate resort that is well worth the less than €50/night we paid for it. Our one-bedroom suite included a full kitchen with all appliances and was located right next to a large pool. We were able to stay and enjoy the pool for several hours after checkout. The resort is located a 3-5 minute walk from the beach and restaurants, bars, shops, and markets are even closer. The bus to Rethymno is less than €2 and tickets can be purchased at the mini mart before boarding. You pick it up just outside a wonderful little cafe/bar called La Strada, which is worth a visit while you wait. If you’re looking to visit Rethymno but want to avoid some of the city crowd, Grand Leoniki is a good choice.

Beautiful luxury resort

The Grand Leoniki is a luxury resort, 4 or 5 star in quality, that has everything you could ask for - beautiful pools and lounging areas, lovely suites, excellent food and entertainment, all amid gorgeous buildings and grounds. The only negative is the parking, which is behind the property, difficult to find and not always available.

Great location for beaches and Platanes

Great location, very large hotel compound that encompasses the Leoniki Residence and the Grand Leoniki with 2 outdoor pools, spa facilities and in house dining. Although I found the cost of breakfast a bit much at €11, the dinner buffet provided a good selection and was worth the €17 cover. However, we opted to do that just one night and explore the local tavernas on other nights. Staff was welcoming and friendly, and rooms cleaned every day (except Sunday). The spa facilities and gym are small but functional with a good deal on spa treatments. There is no private parking but you can find parking on the roads nearby (can be hard to find a spot late at night though). Beaches are a few minutes walk and there are so many amazing local tavernas to choose from. I’d happily stay here again.

Lovely place and genuinely friendly staff. The room was very nice and right next to one of the 3 pools, i was self catering but ate at the pool bar a couple of days and the food was good and reasonably price. The location is also excellent as right in the heart of platanes but not noisy and straight across from the beach. Also access to both Rethymno and Adelianos kampos is easy from this hotel and both worth a visit. Would definitely recommend this hotel.
