Probably the best hotel in the Middle East

The Mandarin Oriental is a great hotel Brand Everywhere in the World but without any doubt the Mandarin Doha is the best hotel in the city, the best service in the Middle East and one of the best Mandarin properties in the world. We are extremely impressed with the courtesy, warmth, professionalism, diligence and efficiency of all of its staff, from management, restaurants, front desk, or housekeeping. A note on housekeeping: it’s the forgotten and invisible department in so many hotels in the world. In the Mandarin housekeeping is exceptional, flawless and always with a smile and warm words. I would also like to congratulate the members of the food and beverage team, all of them, Mosaic, Laing or Amber bar. I have never seen such a level of service and cuisine in an all day dining anywhere in the world. Our warmest congratulations from two unconditional fans.

Best hotel ever

We’ve stayed at many 5* hotels but this was definitely the best one yet! Staff so great and go above and beyond. They were so nice to do our room nicely for a specially occasion and the turn down service was excellent. Our room was upgraded and it was really great with amazing views and a balcony. Pool was amazing temperature and usually empty. Locations great from all main things. We could easily walk to Souk. Would return 100%.

The service and staff were all extremely friendly and helpful. The room and amenities were excellent also. The only thing that wasn't to my liking was the bed. I stayed in room 601 and found the bed and pillows to be sub par unfortunately making my otherwise amazing stay less magical.

Long Stay

I had initially planned to stay in the Mandarin Oriental in Doha for 10 nights and ended up extending my trip for a total stay of 16 nights. The rooms are very nice and comfortable making it very easy to stay on for an extended period of time. The housekeeping services were outstanding, and the hotel guest relations manager went above and beyond to make sure the room was cleaned twice a day. The area of the hotel is very lively, and there are lots of nice restaurants and boutiques right outside the hotel so walking around the area was nice to do. The only thing which was disappointing was the lack of care when it came to giving their guests small extras such as a box of chocolates, a fruit basket or a welcome note. Having stayed at Mandarin Oriental in many countries, this was the one thing that shocked me especially as a guest who stayed for an extended period of time. In the past I’ve always received either a room upgrade, a free breakfast or discount on services in the hotel and I think that’s one thing they can improve on in relation to the care towards their guests. Overall the hotel is very beautiful and I extremely enjoyed my stay.

The thing that sets the best hotels apart is the quality of the staff. I stay in many hotels all over the Middle East and I have to say I have never experienced such consistently exceptional service from every staff member as I did at the Mandarin Oriental Doha. It was first class service and you are made to feel very welcome and special. The thing about service in the Middle East is that every top hotel has friendly and lovely staff. But many deliver the service at a superficial level. You can tell they have been trained to say nice things. But the difference at MO Doha is that they don’t just say it, they all really mean it and care about giving you the best possible experience. Well done Mandarin Oriental Doha. So very impressed.
