We have stayed in Whitby on numerous occasions and the accommodation at The Station Inn was far superior to others, a well thought out refurbishment with attention to detail to making it warm and cozy. I loved the heated flooring especially with the bad weather and the bed was extremely comfortable, so much so we asked what make it was. Very friendly and helpful staff, we would stay here again and highly recommend to others.

Comfortable Town Centre Location

Pub downstairs a bit spit and sawdust but staff were friendly enough.Rooms above the bar area recently refurbished - our room [No 3] very comfortable new carpets, clean bedding, a foam mattress bed that I was apprehensive about but it was comfortable enough on our two nights. Furniture is Ikea balance sheet style but did the job - no wardrobe - just hanging space.generous supply of tea, coffee and biscuits in the room. An enormous en-suite bathroom with wet room shower area and large deep bath and generally all new fittings. We had no noise from the bar but we were there mid-week plus we were on the top floor and not immediately over the pub. Rooms had secondary double glazing but we did open outside windows but were not bothered by any road traffic from the main road. No breakfast served but there are plenty of cafe's serving breakfast, within walking distance - the pub is ideally situated for the town centre and Railway Station. No parking at the hotel but there is a large public carpark just 200 yards away that allows 24 hour parking for £8. .

It is in a great position, but very noisy. There was no air con or fan and as the weather was hot, we had the windows open for air.
