We had the time of our lives and are already looking forward to next time! Room 4 was beautiful, clean, and welcoming--plenty of room but cozy at the same time. The view was gorgeous, and the best meals we had were right in the OVI restaurant. Terrific people!

A fun oasis in Ogunquit

Thoroughly enjoyed a one-night stay here in July 2020. Had eaten dinner in the restaurant before, and was looking for a convenient spot to rest before heading home. The building is older and quirky, but that is part of its charm; almost like going to visit family that lives in a quaint village or town. Dean and Marcia are very accommodating in the restaurant and inn. Although the Inn is old and could use some updating, the bedding was comfortable and all of the necessities were ample. The restaurant has a well-executed menu of seafood and continental fare that pairs wonderfully with the very reasonable wine list. Escargot and seafood-stuffed haddock with lobster sauce was a good combination with a cocktail and french white, at a very reasonable value. Good, attentive service with good timing. The intimate pub is fantastic, even in the current state of affairs, with Dean providing fun service and conversation with regulars and travelers alike. Would drop in here anytime the lantern was lit. Stay for a night, or a few, and enjoy the quiet of Ogunquit with the hospitality that only those that enjoy what they do for living fun.

The Very Old Village Inn

The inn is in a convenient location. Walking distance to many things. The restaurant, only open for dinner, was ok and the prices were very reasonable. The rooms were not very clean and toiletries were sparse. The inn has not been updated in over 30 years. Wallpaper was peeling and paint was needed everywhere.

Long Weekend - Fun Weekend !

We had a great stay at The Old Village Inn. It was exactly what we needed for a getaway. The great: Location. Right in the center of Ogunquit. We could walk everywhere, including the provision store (for coffee and egg sandwiches in the am) & the beach. The Bar/Resturant on site was excellent, and we had great fun talking with the staff & other guests. Our room was a suite with 2 rooms Bed / LR and it was great to watch tv, have a snack, etc. The eh: The rooms / Inn is worn. It's a little updated since the photos online, but it is worn. I was ok with that, but be aware if you want brand new fixtures and furnishing (couches, throw pillows, rug, wallpapers), this may not be where you want to stay. They have updated the bedding: pillows, sheets, comforters - so no worries there. Final Verdict: I would stay there again, overlook the eh and appreciate the location and staff!
