Stunning villa in Liberty style in Sferracavallo with direct access to the sea

Our whole family, ages 4 to 84, enjoyed the Villa Donzell! Although elegant and deeply historical, the house provided a comfortable and beautifully furnished home with all the modern conveniences... room for 9 adults and 2 children and right on the beautiful bay of a protected marine area. The tower room proved to be a one of a kind sleeping experience. Romina, our welcoming agent, was very helpful, guiding us through the house, the keys, the equipment, telling us about the area (most knowledgeably!), arranging for transportation, suggesting restaurants and interesting sites, and serving as a readily available resource for whatever we needed. Sferrocavallo, the nearby town - easily walkable - gave us a fascinating picture of everyday Sicilian life and some marvelous food, both in the markets and in the restaurants. The villa's location allowed easy trips to several interesting towns and sites nearby including Palermo, Monreale and Erice. Just one caveat: bring plenty of mosquito repelllant, and mosquito nets for the children. A lovely site, a gracious home and a unique taste of Sicily...who could ask for anything more?

Shabby chick is the right word to describe this Villa. The rooms are huge, the furniture is mostly classy and it is the perfect location for a big group of people. It has a lot of charm, but don’t expect modern, clean chick, but that is not the purpose of this Villa. The only thing is, that we should have been informed that the tab water was not potable. We had to buy our own water ( the first 6 bottles were free) and without a car and so many people, it would have been a problem. I think that the water for the whole stay should be included in the price.

Four friends very much enjoyed this beautiful house for a relaxing weekend. The lovely terrace, with direct access to the bay, is the highlight -- we found it difficult to motivate ourselves to go discover the area because this was such a pleasant place to relax! The en suite bathrooms for each of the bedrooms is a great advantage. VRBO welcoming and check-out worked perfectly. Easy walking access to decent local restaurants, and short drives to neighboring beach towns and central Palermo. We regret that our stay was so short.

Diese wunderbare Haus mit seiner meerseitigen Riesenterrasse ist genial. Das Objekt zeigt, dass ein Haus viele Jahre alt sein kann, aber trotzdem in einem prima Zustand . Alles war sehr sauber und gemütlich und urig. Es ist uns schon beinahe schwer gefallen, auswärts Essen zu gehen, weil es auf der Terrasse so angenehm war. Durch ein Gartentor gelangt man mit drei Schritten direkt ans Meer. Romina von der Vermittlung hat uns sehr nett empfangen alles erklärt. Wir fühlten uns willkommen. Es gibt einen Bahnhof im Dorf, mit Verbindungen direkt nach Palermo (SFr. 1.50 pro Weg). Somit kann man sich die Autofahrt sparen. Ebenso ist das Zentrum des Dorfs im wenigen Minuten zu Fuss erreichbar. Es gibt unzählige Restaurants und duzende von Lebensmittel- und andern Läden. Die einheimischen Personen waren sehr gastfreundlich und hilfsbereit in allen Belangen. Wir werden bestimmt wieder kommen. Eigentlich wären wir am liebsten geblieben.
