You can only check in after 2. So if you are there it’ll - tough luck. Our room Was really clean, the shower had great pressure. The location was absolutely perfect. The caves are walking distance. There are places to eat just around the corner. Would recommend!

Should not be listed at all. A ghost town . One other couple arrived after us and that was it in the whole place. No staff, no WIFI, no kitchen facilities, no electricity. No one to contact, breakfast was not included. Even the information center thought it was closed.

The room was nice, tidy and had everything I needed. However, the bathroom was very dirty - sticky stains in the floor around the toilet, mould growing in the shower. Dirty footprints on the floor. The wi-fi didn’t work. Didn’t see anyone at check out time, reception was closed even though it was supposedly during open times.

Handy to restaurants and village shops. Has character. Easy communication with staff. Would definitely stay again

Owners were friendly & helpful, checking in & out simple, accommodation well priced for what it is. Everything is clean, but tired looking although new owners have clearly been upgrading some fittings. Chalet en-suite could do with somewhere dry to put clean clothes while showering as shower screen & curtain don’t go to the floor.

Modern, clean but basic cabin which was perfectly fine. Would stay again

it was an awesome place to stay, as we stayed for overnight and left early morning only one thing we were missing was hot water kettle

Well, let's start with Orbitz. When we booked the price appeared to be about 350 odd NZ dollars. We asked for accommodation for a party of five and were offered two rooms - one room for three and the other for two. This all looked like an excellent deal so we booked. When we arrived we found that we were in two chalet rooms, which were comfortable and warm with good beds and an en-suite. So far so good. We were a bit puzzled to see that both rooms had enough beds for five in each and wondered why on earth we needed two complete chalets when we could have comfortably fitted into one. It seemed odd that we had been put into two separate units. Imagine my surprise when I looked at my credit card to find I had been charged over five hundred dollars as the prices were in American dollars not NZ.which was not made apparent on the booking page. If yuu are booking through this site please check what the currency the price is being quoted at. It also appears dodgy to me that we could have had one unit to accommodate all of us instead of being apparently charged for two units with five unused beds. Caveat emptor. Finally, we had intended to self-cater. Having been there before we were expecting a fully stocked shared kitchen. We were dismayed that upon arrival we found the kitchen was empty and none of the stoves or fridges were working. Thankfully it was cold and we had a chilly bin and a camp stove to do the cooking. So, all in all, not happy.
