Not perfect for the money.

Considering you are paying $200 to say in a room, to charge $12 to park is an insult. Room was clean, staff was friendly. Alarm clock went off at 0600, we did not set it. A/C came on automatically around 0700, we had turned it off the night before. Little things maybe but again $200.

I was dissatisfied because I arrived at 230 and was told my ADA compliant room will be ready at 3pm We did not get into the room until 410 pm. My goal was to check in at 3 pm and join my meeting at 3pm however I had to conduct my meeting out in the public lounge. I was told that the Hampton in LB only has 1 ADA compliant room that in itself is awful.

One negative: power washing the exterior grounds begins around 8 am. A little early, especially on Sundays. I wanted to read by the pool after breakfast and it was very loud! Later in the day, the pool area was very nice!

Another one night stay

Excellent Custimer Service from Front Desk Employee, her name was Naheiley. She was professional, friendly, knowledgeable of all the services and amenities the hotel offered. She was able to accommodate my request to a room facing the east side of the building. I am a repeat customer of The Hampden Hotel, and these are the reasons why. And I would like to nention the free hot breakfast every morning. Good food with lots of choices.

WARNING!! The Hampton Inn Long Beach is to be avoided. There are many other wonderful hotels nearby who won't deceive you for a few extra bucks. This hotel has no parking garage or entry/exit gates. It's just a large, mostly empty open lot. However, upon returning home, we looked at our receipt and discovered they charged us $12 for parking! Never mentioned it, offer no secure parking facility that justifies a parking cost, and the hotel is literally surrounded by open public lots and retail lots where you can park FREE. (I saw some of the hotel guests park across the street and walk over, now I know why.) The hotel must be making thousands per month slapping $12 charges on rooms, knowing people won't generally discover it until they return home, and who is going to take time to dispute this bogus parking charge? Frankly, I'm surprised there isn't a charge for using pillows, or maybe an elevator charge! RIDICLOUS MONEY GRAB. For this reason alone, we will be skipping the Hampton Inn Long Beach on all future visits. (We come here with groups often, for the cruise ports- never here again.) I sure hope the $12 was worth it. And don't bother refunding our $12- that won't change our mind. If you ELLIMINATE this sneaky fee entirely from all guests, we would once again embrace this property- otherwise, you've lost hundreds of nights a year from our groups. WAY too many other hotel options in the area to have to support a property who is so sneaky about additional fees.

This hotel is clean and staff are nice. The location of this hotel is across from a shopping center with restaurants, whole food, Nordstrom rack, TJmaxx and other stores. And about 5-7 minutes drive to the Airport. So convenient!

Quick 2 day trip to Long Beach and Disneyland from The Bay Area. This place was sssooooo convenient! The shuttle to and from the airport was absolutely amazing. No need for a rental car that’s going to cost an arm and a leg. Even with the Lyft rides to get around was more cost effective than renting a car. Local eateries within walking distance. I would stay here again and recommend it to everyone.
