Lovely moderate hotel on the beach close to square

We stayed in Unit 107 that is a walkout to deck and access to beach area. It is a lovely hotel that has been slowly upgraded over the past few years. Bathrooms renovated with great shower—water is a little brackish. Also, only the very basics are provided. Had to ask for additional hand towel and wash cloths. Staff was accommodating. Very clean and cannot beat the location close to square. The beach club was also very nice. It seems that the importance of clean beaches is finally realized on entire beach area. Moderate hotel— you get what you pay for. Security is also good. We stay here often when not renting condo.

Great location and restaurant!

Great location on the beach, very impressed with the food in their restaurant - everything was delicious! Wish they had an english version of the menu though - I didn't get to fully appreciate all they had to offer and chose my dinner based on the few words I knew. Beds are a little hard, but would definitely stay again based on location, food, and on-site parking

Excellent Location!

Hacienda Morelos was a perfect place to stay for a couple of nights at the beginning or end of your trip. The rooms were large and clean. What I loved the most was the intimate beach area and the location! The location was ideal....close to the fancy grocery store and shops and restaurants. Not fancy but a really good value. The management should replace the pillows and put toppers on the hard beds...this did not bother me but if I was staying longer than 2 nights it might have bothered me. Overall, I loved the location and the views of the beach!

Staff was all wonderful this stay. We had to pay for the upgrade to the ground level even though there was vacancies the whole time on the ground level. The hotel was basically empty most of the stay. The restaurant was closed for remodeling so that was sometimes an issue to stay there for the day with the noise of the construction. Use caution when booking and it says "no balcony" that doesn't mean ground floor! Otherwise the hotel stay was nice and we would go back again but just book the right room selection.

Vacation in Puerto Morelos

Loved the location but the hotel was under construction. This was not mentioned when we booked our room. The restaurant and the bar were were closed due to the remodel. There was no coffee maker or fridge in the room. The beds were very hard and the pillows were awful. However, the staff was accommodating and very nice. The hotel is on the beach and has spectacular views. We would stay there again once the remodeling is complete.

Very convenient to town. Dive shop by the pool. New restaurant in work, sound like a good one. Grocery store across the street. Fridge would have been nice. Limited room outlets to plug stuff in.
