The place is very relaxing and comfortable close to pubs and restaurants

Fantastic location if you are wanting to explore Guildford and the Swan Valley, which is why we stayed. It was also fabulous that we could walk to a number of different eateries, hotels and the local night markets. Would definitely book accommodation at the Guildford River Retreat again.

Was quite and very clean. Had a private entrance and very comfortable bed! Air conditioning was amazing! Close to cafes and places to eat and see! Wish we could have stayed longer.

Info provided about property on check in was minimal, no wifi password, no map or info on local tourist precinct. The room was very clean and neat but the idea of staying in a heritage listed house was not incorporated at all into the room. We booked a superior room but it seemed small compared to the pictures.

Very pleasant all round, though mine host's casual barefoot approach a little disconcerting, and an in-house barking dog greeting you at night a little bit annoying.

A lovely accommodation located close to the Guildford Hotel and train station. Lovely clean room with bed, couch, tv, stereo, fridge, kitchen sink and bathroom. Located close to Swan Valley wineries. It IS possible to walk to some if you choose to. All in all, a lovely, enjoyable stay. Thank you.

Lovely hotel in an historic area. Perfectly comfortable.

My family group of four stayed at this accommodation for two nights in April 2018. It is close to shops and several restaurants. We were surprised that although dishes and cutlery were provided, no microwave was supplied in our room, but the other members of our party did have one (although their tariff was $30 less than ours).

Good location for accessing Guildford. Room was clean and fresh. Potential to add a lounge chair or similar to increase comfort level.
