Great location, great room with a balcony and most of the staff was so wonderful. The reception staff was so kind and helpful. I had a misunderstanding with the breakfast staff. I made a peanut butter and jelly sandwich and was going to take it with me. It's certainly not what is said but how it is said. If I was kindly informed, that food may not leave the breakfast area or it had to be paid for, I would have understood and "followed the rules." But a young man said "you must pay!" I said ok, I'm sorry, I will leave it. Then a female employee said NO you must take it or pay for it. So, I said ok, I will stay and eat it. I ate a few bites and left. Such an unfortunate ending to my otherwise wonderful stay.

Good location to Königssee -6 minute drive ...and like a 15 minute walk up hill to town . It’s a good scenic walk . No air conditioning in hotel so wouldnt recommend in summer . Our trip was week of September 16th and it was still warm . Can’t check in after 800 pm . Family owned property. Food in restaurant was good as well as breakfast Buffet. Friendly and helpful staff

We booked a 2 night stay with 2 rooms as a family with 2 teenagers. Overall, very comfortable and pleasant stay. The rooms are clean and tidy, the shower rooms are very nice, clean with shower fittings that are high standard and well thought use of space. Staff are responsive and the restaurant is very good. The staff were most helpful. Used the pool area with its outside relaxing area which was lovely and right by the river. Has a small sauna and solerium. Reception issue tourist cards a real bonus, which gives free travel on local buses and to attractions, really worthwhile. The only disappointment was not having the rooms next to each other or atleast in same level (it is a big hotel) and room 327 had limited head room as it is in the eaves so needed to be very mindful when moving around the room. Has a little balcony. That said, great for short family stay and certainly recommend and would rebook on visiting Berchtesgadener.

Restaurant on property was good to excellent. Breakfast was avg from experience in Europe, I thought it was missing fresh berries. But dinner at the restaurant was excellent and a great value. We visited on probably on some of the hottest days of the year, so AC would have been nice. It does cool off in the evening but as a light sleeper the traffic noise is load if the windows are opened. Otherwise traffic noise is low.

Nearby the station, convenient location, nice staff and nice view!

View of the river was awesome. Location was also very good. Staff was superb. Best breakfast of our entire trip!
