The location was nice, but that was all. We couldn’t take showers they had just chlorinated the water- gave us coupons for breakfast but after a day at the beach we neeeded showers!! The rust in the bathroom sink was awful. My mistake, I didn’t realize it had no tv.

Great stay

Room was clean and comfortable. Staff was excellent and courteous. Walls a little thin, but that is the standard for historic properties. Great great sunset views, plenty of seating on the lawn to see the bay and nature's vistas. Very nice comfortable rockers on the front porch to watch all the activity of new harbor.

Love it

Just what they advertised, no tv or ac of Wi-Fi but awesome view of New Harbor. Old building but room was clean and staff was friendly.

The property itself is a diamond in the rough. Needs a complete overhaul. The porch had holes in it and was roped off to prevent injury. Looks like the place hasn’t been updated in years. Shared bathrooms are doable but be prepared for the noisy doors from guests making trips to the restroom at all hours. Walls are paper thin. Biggest issue I had was the lack of quiet. I will say if you’re a heavy sleeper maybe not an issue for you. Rooms were clean and location was picturesque.

Has "Character"

Beautiful old, historic buildings which look great from afar. ... front porch rotting off the big building; annex building where we stayed had main doors which stay open all the time, old windows hard to open/close, absolutely nasty shower floor. Might've been clean but didn't look it. Drain pipe was sticking up out of the floor. Free coffee all day, but SO bad, barely worth drinking. Sheets/towels ample and clean, mattresses decent. Is it all of Block Island or just this place that thinks they can charge whatever without ever renovating/upgrading?
