Property was handled off-site so no reception onsite. I arrived at reception and reception asked for a name not first or last so naturally I was giving my first. I show my booking (phone). She said I wasn’t on system so I was at wrong place and so she sent me across the road to the other motel. I get there the lady there says wrong place you are definitely back on the other side. I go back, gentlemen greets me I show him my booking he said yes right place and gets the same lady who sent me across the road to check me in. Same thing - name, she can’t find me so I give my last name and walah I’m there. No apologies for stuffing me around on a 34degree day and without being specific on names. She hands me the keys tells me it’s down the end of the street. The information book provides no info on the actual motel but only what you can do in town. There were no towels, no soap in dispenser, half a toilet roll (unless they were depending on two boxes of tissues for toilet paper which is environmentally bad for flushing) and an open used milk. The shower pressure was so poor that mud on the shower floor wouldn’t wash down the drain. Positive about the shower was it had hot water. A towel rail was broken. The bed linens were warm and comfortable but the mattress itself was hard. There were four glasses and two tea cups (booked room for five). It was like the cleaners only came through to make the beds tidy up and that was it. Otherwise cleanish?

The motel does not have on-site check in or management, you have to go to the reception of the local services club. Rooms do not get serviced at all, which would be fine for a one night stay, but not for a 3 night stay. Air conditioning was broken on arrival, had to return to the services club to get someone to come look at it. Then had to waste time waiting around while the staff member looked at it, then same again later in the day while their electrician looked at it... Only to be told they can't fix it today, which being good Friday was understandable. Was only given a fan to try to cool the room that night, no discount or other compensation was offered for not being unable to cool the room. Had to endure a near sleepless night as the room was in the mid to high 20's when we were trying to sleep. Bed was horrible, mattress was hard and really springy offering no back support and being so springy would shake your partner awake with the smallest of movement. Will not be staying here again.

Great location.. walk across the road to the club, which has food, TAB, live sport. Close walk to the city centre, pub, supermarket. Very quiet spot
