Ocean 101 Beach Resort is a decent choice for Cloud 9 at Siargao. The rooms are basic but the ones facing the sea offer good views. The food is also basic but good enough. The staff is friendly and attentive.

We had an amazing stay at this oceanfront hotel. The staff are extremely friendly and professional. The location is perfect - walking distance to the main surfing beach, restaurants, and stores. The hotel rooms and grounds are well maintained. The best thing is the rates are reasonable considering everything I've mentioned. My husband and I would certainly stay here again

Other reviews are correct. The property has the best view of cloud 9. It's unbeatable. The rooms are very basic. We had a room with no exhaust for the toilet. Not even small window or exhaust fan. Never seen any toilet like that. Staff needs proper training. They are busy chatting or dancing rather than being attentive with guests/customer at the restaurant. They only work hard whenever the manager is around. The resort has a lot of potential, just need renovation and staff training.

beautiful property right next to cloud 9! easy walk or scooter ride into town (20 or 5 minutes respective) excellent and reasonably priced food and drink in the restaurant. right on the water! comfy bed, hot water a rare treat in the philippines, and 4 pillows!!!!! first time i have seen 2 pillows per guest here! we are hostel people and this hotel was an extravagant luxury for us. we truly enjoyed it

I loved the view of the water and palm trees. The location was great you could walk to surf about 2 minutes to cloud 9 and you could watch surfers at quicksilver and jacking horse. Close to get boats to other surf spots

we spent 2 nights here at the ella villa. The room was spacious, pillows are more than enough.

Good - location was 3mins walk to Cloud 9, good view of the sea esp during sunrise, a little sunset view. Grounds were spacious, no street level noise. There's an in-house restaurant / bar. Bad - thin walls, I booked the sea view deluxe room. I woke up at 3am my neighbors were packing and rushing to catch a boat, I could hear every knock and even footstep they made. Staff were generally unhelpful. Nobody offered to help with my bags as I was checking in and it was raining hard. The restaurant staff were un-attentive and didn't seem to have a service mindset. A neighboring table yelled at one waitress who was clearly avoiding customers. During checkout I had a prolonged back and forth with the cashier who said he didn't have change and didn't offer any solutions... out of frustration I said that I would be the one to walk to the resto to get change - and then he admitted that he did have change all this time, he just didn't want to use it and run out. It's my third time to stay here, I come back because of the location. In the future, I'll just avoid eating in their resto and have zero expectations from their staff.

The property itself is superb. The location is perfect for those who love to surf because the surfing spot is just a minute walk. I love walking around the property because of its cleanliness. If you really want to relax, I highly recommend this place. The only disappointing about my stay - the staff in the restaurant. I stayed here on non peak days so there aren't too many guests. Some days, it's just my partner and I dining at the restaurant. I don't really mind that they are dancing to maybe kill time or singing on top of their lungs but please, prioritise your guests. They are not friendly, doesn't smile when approaching guests. They need a bit of training in customer service. One night, we decided to have dinner on the garden side of the restaurant. Suddenly it started raining so my partner and I hurriedly went inside to save our food from the rain. No one from the staff helped us. They were just watching us run back and forth to bring all our plates inside the restaurant. There were like 5-8 of them just sitting on the couch, chatting and using their phones. I have no problem with the other staff. The ones at the reception are friendly and helpful. To the management, please do some actions about this. Especially that you have guests from around the world. that kind of attitude from staff is very unsatisfactory for the overall performance/rating of the hotel.
