Quick check-in, squeaky bed

The check-in was the fastest EVER! I think she barely looked at my ID and credit card. This was my first time at a Tru Hilton so maybe that’s their claim to fame, simplicity. The room was very sparsely furnished which was fine. My one issue I think was that because the floors are laminate vs carpet, the bed squeaked super bad against the floor at every little move. No high cardio activity, just a flip over to one side. I think carpet probably absorbs that sound some.

There was a confusion on our bill. We have prePaid & claimed rewatd night. but when we got there, staff had us pay for full price. She said the creditcard declined but i had the receipt that it paid. Had i not checked how much was going to be charged, we would have paid again. She realized the mistake & fixed it quick though. I hope it really didnt charge as she said. The hotel was very nice, clean & compact.

Convenient & Clean

The hotel was convenient and very clean. Rooms very small. Breakfast was good. The beds were not as comfortable as I like but clean and good enough for a two night stay. No issues. Staff friendly and there were activities in the lobby. Impressive atmosphere in all activity areas.

We checked in late, not enough parking spaces. Hotel and room were clean. Bed ok.

mgmt power trip

The worst hotel experience I’ve had, traumatic. Troubles began when the room we were given wasn’t the room we booked. Went back to ask about it and we’re told the room we requested wasn’t available. After driving all day we were visibly annoyed by this, but not rude and eventually settled to take the room that was available. After returning to that room, after about 5-10 minutes we received a knock on the door from a security guard saying we needed to leave premises immediately. This was after midnight, and we were trying to get a few hours of sleep before a 6am flight. My partner was in the shower, and they wouldn’t allow us to shut the door for her to get out and get dressed. Eventually the security guard and 3 members of hotel staff were standing in the doorway watching us get dressed and waiting for us to leave, all the while harassing us…we were very confused, none of the staff members at our door had been present during our check in. As we left, the manager was calling other hotels telling them not to rent us a room. The whole situation was very confusing, because we hadn’t done or said anything out of line, other than being obviously annoyed that our room (paid for) wasn’t available. We were treated like criminals, seemingly for not being fully satisfied with our experience. We were also told they wouldn’t refund us because we “tore up the room” I’m assuming the were referring to the sheets being pulled back on one of the beds, because otherwise the room was untouched.

Quick weekend stay

Beds were uncomfortable and price was high for what you get so I was going to ge I’ve it four stars, BUT they earned back the fifth star with friendly service and a great breakfast. Best part of the breakfast - it opened at 6, even on weekends, so those of us who were in town for sports tournaments could eat before leaving for the venue. They also had lots of grab and go options for people headed to the airport.
