This is a lovely bed and breakfast and a wonderful break from the chaos of traveling. We enjoyed walking around Chartres and returning to our room that felt as though we were on a farm in the French countryside. Our host was so kind, to wake early with us and serve a generous breakfast before we left for the train station at 7:00! :(. She arranged for a taxi and it felt wonderful to be so thoughtfully taken care of. Totally recommend this very unique stay!

Really nice stay!!

Great stay! The room is overall calm, clean and cozy. The dining room is so beautiful and the breakfast was really good! The garden and the area around the house are peaceful.

An oasis of calm just outside of town centre. Good to be able to park car securely on site. Friendly owner and lovely breakfast. Upstairs room was large with kitchen facilities we didn’t expect. A little difficult to find so drove around town too many times! Also the steps upstairs are outside and are steep for the less able. Overall a very enjoyable stopover en route further south.

Short stay review

Had a lovely 2 night stay in a basic room with shower room with sink and separate toilet. (Shower gel and hair dryer and towels all provided and fridge with drinks - honesty bar - together with tea and coffee making facilities. Slightly quirky garden with pet rabbits running round the garden with chickens and an aviary. Some antique furniture in various stages of repair are stacked in the garden adds to the quirkiness. The room was warm, clean and the owner attentive, friendly and provided maps and gave good advice on restaurants. Only 10mins walk to the old town of Chartres and the amazing Cathedral

demeure de charme avec un petit "parc" arboré bien visible grâce aux grandes baies vitrées, situés à quelques minutes du centre-ville et de la Cathédrale. L'hôtesse est très gentille et serviable, la chambre très spacieuse et agréable; et le petit déjeuner excellent; un sans faute !

De toute évidence, c'est au clos de Chedeville que nous séjournerons lors de notre prochaine escapade à Chartres ,j'ose dire "mon niveau de satisfaction est ....à la hauteur de la cathédrale!!"
